The RCO is supported by volunteers!

Volunteers create a positive concert attendance experience for audiences, enhance our visiting musicians experience in Reno by providing quick and convenient rides to rehearsals, and some even provide administrative office support.
We have a lot of opportunities to help out and we'd love to welcome you to join us! All volunteers receive a free concert ticket, and most of our volunteer roles are quick, and easy to complete. There's no long term commitment required, just help us out when you're available.

High School and college students wishing to fill volunteer hour requirements are welcome!

Volunteer Roles

Concert Ushers
Distribute programs, check tickets, welcome guests, and assist patrons in finding their seats.

Musician Support Team
Make life a little easier for Reno Chamber Orchestra musicians. Bring snacks and treats to rehearsals, see after the safekeeping of musicians belongings during our concerts, help with transportation needs, and more!

Special Event Support
A few times a year the RCO needs extra help to support a special event. Events like our annual gala, concerto competition, and free summer concert require extra volunteers. Help with greeting, check in, set up and tear down, and other event-specific tasks.

Office task support
As-needed support is welcome from those who have experience with classical music and can support our staff in preparing music for concerts.

We are also open to accepting specialty volunteers. If you have a special skill you think we could use, please reach out and we'll see if we can put you to work!
