Please send a one-page resume to personnel@renochamberorchestra.org. Resumes will be screened and approved on a continual basis until Friday, August. 5th at 5 pm PST. If invited to audition, you will need to mail a refundable audition deposit of $50 (check payable to The Reno Chamber Orchestra) to:

All invited candidates will be notified no later than August 12, 2022. Deposit checks will be refunded at the time of audition or shredded if a cancellation notice is received by August 19, 2022.

The Reno Chamber Orchestra is a per-service employer with approximately 30 services in the upcoming season. Per-service scale for principal positions is $126. Per-service scale for section positions is $105. RCO will also reimburse travel and provide housing when applicable.

 Vaccination Policy 

The RCO will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination to receive an audition time if invited to audition. Candidates with written documentation providing medical or religious exemption can submit documentation for approval to personnel@renochamberorchestra.org. An audition time will not be given without proof of vaccination or approval of the documented medical or religious exemption.

 Travel Information 

The closest airport is Reno/Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The auditions will be held on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Please do not book your travel to Reno until you have been invited to audition!

 Eligibility Requirements 

The RCO is an equal opportunity employer. We employ only highly qualified musicians, who are authorized to work in the United States. RCO employees are required to complete an I-9 and to provide corresponding documentation when they begin work, which could consist of a trial period. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of a position and/or trial period. The RCO will not delay the start date of these positions or the trial period for the purpose of securing documentation. Unfortunately, the RCO cannot assist with Visa petitions, visa renewals, work authorization, or similar documentation.

 The audition committee reserves the right to immediately dismiss any candidate not displaying the highest artistic standards. The Reno Chamber Orchestra is an Equal Opportunity Employer and an employer with zero tolerance for discrimination or harassment in the workplace
