

Jarred Kennedy
Jarred Kennedy is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Texas at Austin and serves as the Assistant Conductor Fellow with the Reno Chamber Orchestra. He holds a master’s degree from Louisiana State University and a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.
As a guest conductor, Jarred has collaborated with the Austin Civic Orchestra, Renova Chamber Orchestra, and ensembles at the National Music Festival, as well as the LSU Symphony Orchestras. His recent professional distinctions include serving as the Assistant Conductor for the Rapides Symphony Orchestra and participating as a fellow of the Reynolds Conducting Institute at the 2025 Midwest Clinic.
A passionate music educator, Jarred has taught high school orchestra in Killeen, Austin, and Baytown, Texas. He has been invited to guest conduct several high school honor ensembles across Texas and Louisiana, including the Louisiana Multi-District Honor Orchestra.
An accomplished violinist, Jarred has performed with orchestras across Texas, including the Austin Symphony Orchestra, Waco Symphony Orchestra, and Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra. He is the former Concertmaster of the Clear Lake Symphony and Assistant Concertmaster of the Temple and Galveston Symphonies. His festival appearances include the Round Top Festival Institute, Sewanee Music Center, the National Music Festival, and the Colour of Music Festival.
After a comprehensive application process, Jarred Kennedy has been named the Reno Chamber Orchestra Assistant Conductor Fellow for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 seasons.
