Pianist James Winn will be the soloist in the next concerts of the RCO's 2011-12 season, coming up on Saturday, March 3 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at UNR's Nightingale Concert Hall. Dr. Winn will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25 and Hindemith's Kammermusik No. 2 with Maestro Theodore Kuchar and the RCO, in programs that also will feature Cimarosa's Overture to Il matrimonio segreto and selections from L'Arlesienne by Bizet. KUNR will broadcast the RCO's January 29, 2012 performance on Monday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. Hear pianist Pascal Rogé perform the "Egyptian" Concerto by Saint-Saëns with Maestro Theodore Kuchar and the Orchestra. You'll also hear Strauss's "Persian March" and the "Great C Major" Symphony by Schubert. He will perform with the RCO at our season-concluding concerts on Saturday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. Second prize went to violist Tian Tian Lan, and third prize to flutist Carmella Cao.
